Skin Assessment and Wound Prevention
FACTS:
“Proper wound care involves a team of professionals with various skills and levels of understanding. Rounding out the team, the CNA/ MA/CCHA/LNA/PCT/PCA/EMT/CCP/Paramedic is an important and often forgotten member. Of all healthcare providers, these clinicians spend the greatest amount of their time at the bedside providing hands on care. The first to notice when a “red area” develops, when food intake is low, and when hydration is a problem.”
We understand the value of this very important team member and we promote empowerment of this clinician through continued education in preparation for certification.
The course is provided live onsite and can also be viewed via recorded modules. When provided in this manner, the instructor is required to be present for the entire program to ensure understanding, delivery of all course content, and for questions that students may have.
